Training Systems for Simultaneous Interpreters at St. Petersburg School of Conference Interpreting and Translation at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia

Brullov Management has equipped 2 classes for teaching simultaneous interpreters at St. Petersburg School of Conference Interpreting and Translation at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.
It is one of the leading translation schools, the world leader in training interpreters for the UN.

The specialists at Brullov Management were faced with the task of fully equipping classes for simultaneous interpreting training: delivery of systems, their installation, commissioning and training of customer representatives.
The project was based on the equipment of the Belgian manufacturer Televic Education. Solutions for training interpreters from Televic Education are the only ones in the world that allow interpreters to develop skills on real equipment, which is used for simultaneous interpretation in the largest world organizations (European Parliament, European Commission, etc.).
Interpreter Training System Televic Education is based on modern Televic Plixus conference system, adapted for learning tasks. Audio and video signals are transmitted through Plixus bus, as well as all control signals, so that the system can be mounted very neatly, with a minimum of cabling.

On May 12, 2017, the Higher School of Translation held a presentation of new equipment, which was attended by V. V. Pereverzeva, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, V. V. Kirillov, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg, V. V. Zapevalov, Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg, A. S. Maximov, Chairman of the Committee on Science and Higher Education. Bogdanov S. I., acting Rector, took in the guests.

“Such technologies are available not in all foreign universities, so we are very proud that we can train our students with the help of cutting edge devices,” noted A. M. Antonova, the deputy director.
